Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family—wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and children Xavier James, Ella-Grace Margaret and Hadrien Trudeau—seem to be having a wonderful time in India. Their week-long visit kickstarted with a visit to the Taj Mahal, a pre-requisite in the itinerary of every phoren tourist, and a lovely family photo op with the marble wonder in the background!
Their visit so far has been a series of pleasant activities, each of which prove that ‘charming’ ought to be the Trudeaus’ middle name!
Since landing in India, the first family of Canada has had quite an impressive trip, with a visit to the Sabarmati Ashram and IIM-Ahmedabad in Gujarat, then heading to Mumbai for a gala with Bollywood’s finest.
While the youngest Trudeau, Hadrien, has been stealing hearts with his adorableness, there has also been some hilarious mocking of the Canadian PM’s choice of extravagant attire as he tries to keep abreast of the desi vibe!
Nevertheless the trip goes on, with the next destination being the Golden Temple in Amritsar, and the Trudeaus yet again looking lovely in traditional wear as they pose for a picture!
And guess what was next on the Justin Trudeau’s agenda? Well, he’d already paid homage to the Gods, so it was now time to get acquainted with another one of India’s many religions—cricket!
Justin Trudeau, along with his children, spent some spare time indulging in a little cricket. And if you’re wondering whether they knew the rules of the game then don’t worry! They were in the excellent company of former cricket captains Kapil Dev and Mohammad Azharuddin!
After a visit to the Jama Masjid, the Canadian PM and his kids arrived at Delhi’s Modern School cricket ground, where they were joined by the two stalwarts of the game.
In a video, Trudeau can be seen showing off his skills with the bat, as Azhar bhai teaches the ropes of the game to young Xavier James, and Kapil paji bowls to him! Don’t miss the adorable Hadrien in the background, waiting for his turn at the strike!

The funniest and probably the most endearing thing about the video is the photographers and media folk shouting for Azhar paji to movie aside as he seems to be blocking their view of Trudeau!
Many people seemed to find this mini break from diplomatic duties a rather sweet gesture!
