US Talk Show Host Mocks The Indian National Anthem And Demonetisation Rather Tastelessly

Trevor Noah has become quite the popular talk show host in the US after replacing John Stewart. His satirical commentary about politics has been a delight to watch all throughout the election season.

In his most recent episode, uploaded by Irony of India, Trevor spoke about the demonetisation initiative in India and made remarks that were just trying too hard to be humorous.

He also went on to poke fun at the recent supreme court directive that made it mandatory for the national anthem to be played before each movie screening. I accept that a lot of comics did make fun of the decision but in this case, I felt that Trevor was trying to really wring out the slightest droplet of humor where there wasn’t much to begin with.
