Teacher In Odisha Makes School Students Wash Her Scooter, Gets Suspended After Video Goes Viral.

Last week, we told you about a sorry incident that happened in a government school in Punjab. The video of a teacher and principal beating each other up with bags. All this, in front of a room full of students who then recorded the incident.

We thought it couldn’t get worse but how wrong were we! Another shameful incident has come to light, but this time from Orissa.

According to a report published by OdishaTv, after the video of a teacher from Amantpur Project Upper Primary School under Baanarpaal Block of Angul district making her students wash her scooter went viral. She was then suspended from the school.

 

According to the video, the teacher who goes by the name of Sanjukta Majhi was standing with a stick and asking the girls to clean her vehicle.

 

As per Orrisa Post, the incident came to light when a guardian of a student was passing by. He recorded the video and expressed his anguish especially since the students were minor. The teacher allegedly said that this is Guru Seva (service of the teachers).

The school principal had warned Majhi earlier to not involve students in her personal work. However, the teacher has denied all allegations and has said that the students themselves expressed their desire to clean the vehicle.

Teachers have the gift to mould young minds, shape their future, and make them better humans. That’s a gift and a responsibility. With such incidents coming to light every day, I think they have forgotten to do their duty.
