The self-styled Godman, Swami Om gained fame through his antics on TV and has not stopped pining for attention since. However, some of the claims he makes are quite difficult to comprehend, for example, when he said on national television that he can walk on water. But we had no trouble believing that!
However, Swami Om refuses to back down despite being beaten up multiple times by the public for his ill-informed and infuriating comments on serious issues. In fact, he has resurfaced with claims that he did something for none other than Dhinchak Pooja.
In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, Swami Om was asked about Dhinchak Pooja and he had some tall claims to make regarding the cringe-pop viral sensation. He said that the song “Selfie maine le li aaj” was his contribution to Dhinchak Pooja’s career.
But he did not stop there, he also said that Pooja used to come to him because she wanted fame, all the while addressing her as “Pooja Sharma” instead of “Pooja Jain” which is actually her name.
You would think that someone who claims to have made the career of a viral sensation would atleast do enough research to back up his “truth”, but this is Swami Om we are talking about.
On being asked how he can write such a song when he calls himself a Godman, his response was nothing short of astonishing and completely in keeping with his nature. He said,
“Uss waqt main uss mood me tha, mere saath wo selfie le rahi thi toh maine likh diya. Music nahi tha lekin kyuki mere muh se nikla hua shabd tha, mere pen se nikla hua shabd tha, toh tantrik shaktiyon ne logo ko mohit kiya.”
He also claimed to have taught Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insaan, the self-acclaimed Godman and love-charger, who is right now cooling his heels in jail after being convicted of two rapes.
He said that Ram Rahim regards him as his “tantrik guru” and that he taught him how to cure cancer.
He also admitted to have attended his birthday party and that he was supposed to star in a movie opposite him.
The interviewer of course, did not buy any of his claims and did not shy away from blatantly calling him out in the interview and said,
“Kamaal hai kitna banate hai aap!”

Looks like Swami Om has a serious case of verbal diarrhoea and doesn’t know when to stop. He may well be in trouble for confessing on national television that he colluded and was involved with a convicted criminal. As for Dhinchak Pooja she may actually seek Swami’s help for her songs seeing how talented he is!
