SRK Talks About How He Is Considered ‘Not Manly’ And It’s Proof That He’s A True Gentleman

What can I say about Shah Rukh Khan that hasn’t already been said? At the cost of sounding repetitive, I would say that he is indeed the king of wit and sass. But, what hasn’t been said enough about our beloved King Khan is his immense respect for women and his efforts at every stage to empower them.

In a society plagued with patriarchal values and thoughts, Shah Rukh has set himself apart by never engaging in crass statements about women both in the industry and outside.

Recently, Shah Rukh made an appearance at Farhan Akhtar’s gig ‘Lalkaar’ which was conducted in support of Farhan Akhtar’s NGO MARD (Men Against Rape & Discrimination), on November 21, 2017.

He addressed the audience and talked about how moustaches are a symbol of masculinity in our society but Farhan and he are not considered ‘masculine’ mainly because they are gentle and shy.

“Me and Farhan are normally not considered very manly and the reason for that is that we are a little gentle, quiet and also shy. moreover, we treat women equally in our heart and our souls.”

He also added that they hold the utmost respect for women and give them not only an equal standing but a superior one as well. He said,

“actually, we consider them superior to us and are even scared of them. And according to me, there is nothing to be ashamed of, if you’re scared of women, your daughter, sister, mother, wife or even your girlfriend.”

Obviously, the audience was extremely appreciative of his statement and responded by cheering loudly for him. C’mon, it’s SRK after all!
