Those of us who have brothers know that the bond that we share with them is irreplaceable. They take on this self-appointed duty of protecting us and though it feels irritating at times, it is an expression of their love!
Anthony, a 13-year-old suffers from depression. His 5-year-old sister Anabel is a “bouncing ball of sunshine” and they share an unbreakable bond. So, Anthony decided to put together the sweetest surprise for his sister.
Anthony surprised his little sister Belle with a ‘Snow white’ themed photo shoot. He picked out their costumes with the help of his mother and had everything princess’ style ready!
Among the 7 siblings, Anthony and Belle share a very close bond. They watch movies together, he takes her skateboarding and at night he tucks her in bed! How cute!
Belle considers her elder brother as her best friend. Their relationship is strong because Belle’s happy nature lightens up the dark and gloomy times in his life.
Belle was overjoyed due to Anthony’s magical surprise. ‘Her favourite boy in the world’ carried her in his arms while going from one spot to another so that she didn’t trip on her dress. Belle would giggle and hug him between shots.
Their mother, who was also the photographer of this incredible photoshoot said that she finished the photo shoot with “tears of pride and happiness” in her eyes.
“The photo shoot was probably the most heartwarming thing I’ve experienced as a mother. She felt like a real princess, and her happiness is easy to see in her face in every photo.
Anthony would spin her around and laugh at how happy she was… And that’s what it is all about to me as a mother… as HIS mother. When you have a child who battles with themselves day after day, there is nothing you wouldn’t pay to see them smile. Belle brings that out in him. He gave her an incredible gift and in return, she made him genuinely happy. That was a gift she gave in return to both Anthony and myself.”
Isn’t this really moving? This 5-year-old is unknowingly helping her brother get out of depression and I am absolutely speechless!
