Sikh Man Uses His Turban To Save A Drowning Dog, Proves There’s No Honour Without Compassion

A Sikh man is honour bound to not remove his turban unless he is taking a bath or sleeping. They’re known to guard the tradition fiercely and the turban means more than jewels to them. However, sometimes in life, when there’s honour, tradition and religion on one side and humanity on the other, it can be a troublesome to know the right thing to do.

Watch this short clip by all around the web where Swaran Singh, 28, a Sikh man removes his turban to save a drowning dog and proving, in the process, that there is no honour, no religion where there is no compassion for fellow men or animals.

“The moment I started taking off my turban, people watching around were shocked. They thought I was disrespecting my faith. But what was important at that point was to save the animal’s life.” said Singh on an interview to UK Mirror.

A real eye-opener and breeze of hope in a country often troubled by ghost of religious fundamentalism.
