With advertising and brand promotions reaching new heights of creativity every single day, we get to see a lot of marketing gimmicks. While some of them are eye-opening and brilliant, others become the butt of all jokes. Unfortunately, Sidharth Malhotra’s tactic to promote his upcoming film fell in the latter category.
On 14th December, the Student Of The Year star, Sidharth Malhotra declared on all his social media platforms that he is ‘Off’. He tweeted saying “Sorry I am done.”

While most people figured it’s a marketing gimmick and expressed disappointment with #SidsOffTheGrid, others trolled him for it. Here’s what the Twitterverse is up to, making jokes at the expense of Sid’s tweet.
