Shiv Sena MP Slaps Air India Staff With Sandal Because He Wasn’t Seated In Business Class

Hooliganism and goondaism are almost synonymous with parties like Shiv Sena and MNS. That is specifically the reason why they are slowly disappearing from state politics. MNS has been almost wiped out from Maharashtra and Shiv Sena suffered a major drubbing in the recent Municipal elections.

People do NOT want politicians and political parties whose only reaction to any situation is violence.

A classic example – Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad assaulted an Air India staffer with his slipper 25 times, just because they did not accommodate him in the business class. Moreover, he bragged about the case too after admitting to it.

His point of contention was that he had a Business Class voucher and wanted to sit in business class.

But the Pune to Delhi flight in which he was seated in, did not have a business class section at all. The whole place was an economy plane. Even his office was informed about this. The honorable Member of Parliament’s infinite wisdom failed to grasp this simple problem.

 

He further justified his actions by saying that he is a Shiv Sena MP and not a BJP MP. Which only ratifies the argument that Shiv Sena MPs use violence to deal with each and every issue.

He even held back the plane for one hour after all the passengers had alighted after the plane landed. If this is does not remind you of childhood tantrums, I do not know what will.

Whatever the issue might have been, there is no scenario that justifies violence, that too something as demeaning as beating a person with sandals or slippers.

Air India has filed two FIRs against Ravindra Gaikwad.

But that’s in vain. When has the law been strong enough to bring entitled politicians like this guy to justice? Even the state government has shown no spine to control the hooliganism of parties like Shiv Sena.

Let’s hope at least some kind of action is taken to remind him exactly what a BJP governed country and state can do.
