Big Bang Theory is that nerdy rom-com which is totally dear to our hearts. It is completely different from all the tv series around. And that makes it all the more interesting. All the characters have this peculiar trait which makes them all the more endearing. And when it comes to Penny and Sheldon I cannot stop myself from wishing that I had a similar friendship with someone.

Sheldon and Penny share a friendship that is very rare to find. How they have grown close over the seasons is enviable. Here are reasons why Sheldon and Penny make such awesome friends and how they have shaped each other’s life!

1. Penny was Sheldon’s first female friend. And as you all know first love sucks but the first friend that you make is sure to stick by you until the very end.

It all comes down to that comfort zone you share with someone. That is irreplaceable.

 

2. Sheldon allows Penny to enter his bedroom. Not only that she even sings to him “Soft kitty, warm kitty” on innumerable occasions. Sheldon letting a girl enter his bedroom is a big thing in itself!

On those days when you feel like life is absolute shit, all you need is a friend by your side.

 

3. Sheldon and Penny prove that your IQ does not need to match to become friends. It is quite the opposite in fact.

Remember when Penny wanted to know what Leonard did, she went to Sheldon to learn Physics. And when Sheldon is stuck on emotional issues, he turns to Penny for help.

 

4. Sheldon is a know it all which makes him very proud and also very annoying. But Penny knows how to get him to the ground level.
