Shahid Kapoor broke a few million hearts when he married Mira Rajput. One of them be mine, but let’s not scratch those wounds for now.
Mira Rajput was a very private person before she married the heartthrob of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor. Born and brought up in closely knit Punjabi family in Delhi, she was miles away from paparazzi that follows B-Town incessantly. Quite naturally, she hates being recognised by people in public. Â
Shahid says, “Mira loves outdoors. But she complains that ‘now people recognise me, I hate it.’ It is just nice to be with someone who is connected to reality. Because I missed that side of my life.”
Shahid Kapoor at the ‘MAMI International Film Festival’ talks about how Mira, being 13 years younger than him gives him a fresher perspective on life and work.Â
“She is 13 years younger than me so, she shows me the perspective of my audience. Sometimes when I read a script and can’t relate to it, she looks at me and is like ‘are you insane?
This is exactly what normal people talk about. How can you not relate to this?'”
Shahid says that Mira and his daughter, Misha have become every reason of happiness for him and his family. Mira helps him make the right choices and also teaches him a lot of things.Â
“There are so many things that Mira tells me, which are just so normal and I am still connected with that.
I had probably forgotten 50% of that, but she brings them right back at my life. Like, the price of petrol may be and how much I spend on online shopping.”
Fact: They make an insanely adorable couple! The entire family seems so much happier after the arrival of baby daughter Misha.
