“Sarbjit” Makers Eye The Oscars And We Hope They Bring The Golden Statue Home!

If you have seen Sarbjit, you’d agree that it is definitely one of the finest movies that have released this year, well maintaining the trend of quality cinema that has finally hit Bollywood after a long time. Taking a heart-wrenching real story and setting it into a screenplay that, for not in a moment would feel fabricated, is an effort that deserves every accolade that comes its way and Sarbjit already boasts of its prestigious screening at the Cannes Film Festival.

Producer, Vashu Bhagnani is all set to send Sarbjit to the Ocsars as one of the contenders from India. “We will send it as an entry, independently or in the race with other films. We will channelize our energy to make sure Sarbjit is in the race to become India’s entry to the Oscar this year,” he said.

The makers of Sarbjit  also plan to send the movie for the National Awards and won’t settle until they have run for the biggest honour in the world of cinema – the Oscars.

Sarbjit was truly a world class movie and it deserves every bit of success the makers aspire for!
