Indian television is known for some legendary shows that are remembered long after they ended. Apart from Office Office, Hum Paanch and Tu Tu Main Main, other shows that we love and whose characters are unforgettable even today are Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai and Khichdi.
Both produced by JD Majethia, the shows are Indian equivalent of F.R.I.E.N.D.SÂ and Modern Family (well, sort of). We had Sarabhai families give us a second dose of laughter in July 2017 with ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Take 2′ and the Parekh family from ‘Khichdi’ is the timeless comedy we enjoy.
But what if we told you that you’re in for a treat before this year ends? You heard it right! JD Majethia just confirmed the news about a rumoured merger between two of our favourite Indian comedy shows!!!
As per a report in News Nation, and in his own words,
“Both the shows are my babies and nothing gets better than merging them together. ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ and ‘Khichdi’ both have received an immense amount of love from the audiences whenever they have been on air.
Getting both the shows together will certainly leave the audiences asking for more. It will be a treat for the audience to see what happens when the mad-hatter Parekhs meet the upper-middle-class Maya and her family, The Sarabhais. A laughter riot for sure”
I don’t know about you, but I am super stoked about this news! It is already such a great time to start the new year and now we have two of the best Indian television shows coming together. It seems like it’s going to be a double dose laughter, and I for one, cannot wait for it!
