Mumbai Girl’s Weight-Loss Journey From 100+ Kgs To 64 Kgs Is The New Year Motivation You Need

The world is a cruel place with a shallow mentality and no matter how much we say “don’t judge a book by its cover”, inevitably we all do exactly that. The society judges a person on the basis of appearance and knocks over their self-esteem when they do not conform to their norms of “perfection”.

However, there are some people who do not let the demotivation and ridicule sway them from their path and take it as a challenge to improve both physically and mentally. Priyanshi Bharwani is one such person.

Priyanshi was always looked down upon wherever she went and friends and family kept telling her to lose some weight. But self-realisation hit her in March of 2017 when she felt like people weren’t ready to accept her how she was and at such a time, she made running her solace.

She initially started running to find some calm in the chaos of negative thoughts, but it also helped her shed those extra kilos.

But, running for her isn’t just something she does for fun. It is connected to her as she found a new lease of life in running. It allowed her to discover herself along with giving her the virtue of patience and teaching her the importance of experience.

She saw herself transforming in a mere span of 3 months and it motivated her even more. She went from 100+ Kgs to just 64 Kgs and she never wanted to leave her journey towards fitness.

Priyanshi spoke to Storypick and revealed that her transformation has motivated her so much that she is now training to run in her first ever half marathon.

She wants to share her journey with the world to motivate others to tread on their journey towards fitness, as she knows how it feels like when people don’t accept you the way your body is.

Looking at her dedication towards healthy living has certainly motivated me to get off my couch and go for a run. And for all you peeps who have made ‘New Year New Me’ resolutions, I’m sure her incredible journey will motivate you to no end.
