“The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do.” – Anonymous
Whoever said that knew how true it stands and it has been proved so yet again, after the news of Akhil Mehta’s demise came out. For those of you who are not active on Twitter, Akhil Mehta, was the brains behind the funny Twitter handle called, “@AapChutiyeHain”
RIP Akhil. Btw, you’re 100% right. Hum sab chutiye hain 😀

Akhil Mehta, who was a BITS Pilani alumnus, had been reportedly suffering from severe depression as told by his uncle, Jitendra Mehta, and that is what compelled him to take his own life away on the 28th of March by jumping down from a water tank at Tronica City, Ghaziabad.
“We were alerted about the incident by some local women. When we reached the spot, they told us that the boy walked down the pushta near the tank and climbed very briskly to the top. Before they could react, he jumped off from it. He was killed almost instantaneously. No one seemed to have known him in the area. We sent the body for an autopsy following the inquest. The body was cremated on March 31. An entry about the incident has been registered in the general diary. No FIR has been lodged,” said Avdesh Kumar Yadav, SHO, Tronica City police station.
Akhil Mehta’s sudden death, has left his 52,000 followers on Twitter in a state of shock and disbelief.
While Akhil Mehta’s death is being mourned by all his friends, family and followers, it brings us back to a very serious unresolved issue of people suffering from depression in India. Celebrities are not the only ones entitled to open up about their depression. Seeking medical/psychiatric help for the same is nothing to be ashamed of.
The one who brought smiles to so many faces has itself ceased to smile! RIP Akhil Mehta. Admin of @AapChutiyeHain

Feeling sad about @AapChutiyeHain committing suicide. He had told me about being depressed but didn’t think it would end this way. 🙁

To @AapChutiyeHain. One of the few handles on Twitter that was funny without being outright nasty to people. Thank you for the laughs.
