Republic TV Staff Harasses The Murdered 7YO Gurugram Kid’s Father On LIVE TV For Interview

A few days ago, a class 2 student of Ryan International School in Gurugram was found lying in a pool of blood inside a toilet. While the loss of innocent life was hard on the conscience, it was the after-report that jolted us from within. Reportedly, the 7-year-old boy was stabbed because he refused sex to his killer!

Yes, the accused driver, Ashok Kumar, has been nabbed by the police, but there is still time for justice to come around. Hopefully, soon. Because apart from the cops, even the media is doing its bit by taking the baton in the hand and giving the case a momentum it rightfully needs.

However, amidst all the progress, it is impossible to turn away from things that fetch a bad name for us all. Instances that give journalism a bad name! This is one of those. If you’re wondering, Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV has managed to ruffle the feathers, AGAIN! Let me tell you how.

The father of the murdered 7-year-old kid, Varun Thakur was doing an interview with Times Now where he was joined by a discussion by children’s rights activist and Nobel Prize winner, Kailash Satyarthi.

But what was supposed to be a healthy discussion on child abuse and activism turned out to be witch-hunt for exclusive scoops!

Believe it or not but a reporter/guest coordinator from Republic TV was seen repeatedly trying to remove the Thakur’s microphone and interrupting the show.

While Thakur kept answering the questions, the way he was ill-treated, harassed, and heckled is brow-raising!

In fact, there is a behind-the-scenes video that exposes the predicament even further.

If this is how a grieving father is meted with, just for the sake of an interview, I’m sorry but we have failed as a race!

Needless to say, brickbats have begun online, with people condemning the unruly act and calling out Republic TV for their unprofessionalism.

Yes, there is pressure and there will be pressure to bring out the truth first but there is no way that such a behaviour can be justified.

No, seriously. Where are we heading?
