You and I might deal with heartbreak with a dozen of emo songs and a dollop of ice-cream but not this businessman from Rajkot who is out celebrating the end of his married life with all the pomp there is.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, 26-year-old Rinkesh Rachchh is sending out boxes of Kaju Barfi to friends and relatives that read “Chutacheda Harakh Na” (to celebrate divorce).
“Divorce is nothing less than a sweet reward after the torture of one year of married life and a legal struggle of two more years. It definitely calls for a celebration.”
Apparently, the boxes that went out also had notes on how women protection laws have been “exploited”.
Rinkesh whose divorce was finalised on April 15, says that his phone has been buzzing with congratulatory messages since the news broke out.
He also shared his turmoil without publicly naming or shaming his ex-wife.
“It all started with the demand of living separately from my family. I realised about women favouring laws only after I initiated divorce procedure.
It took me two years (to get a divorce) as the settlement amount sought by her initially was beyond my means.”
But Rinkesh sees this as a new lease of life and is open to the idea of remarriage too!
