It Took One Tweet For The Railway Ministry To Fire A Corrupt TTE While He Was On The Train

News of corruption seems to really work it’s way through twitter and it’s all for the good.

In an appalling incident, an angry passenger Hoving Narayan tweeted out that a TTE was openly asking for bribes from the passengers to provide them with a seat.

He used twitter to reach out to the Ministry of Railways, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Jodhpur. He was travelling to Bikaner on Saturday.

The action was taken immediately and DRM spoke to Govind and Vigilance Officer Mukesh Gehlot, who boarded the train.

The TTE was asked to get off the train at Merta station, all his books were checked and orders were passed to suspend the guilty.

Govind said that the TTE in question, Shyamal was asking for money from the passengers for seats and no one asked him for receipts, when I did he denied and on insisting he said that he would give me one on the way.

While talking to Aaj Tak, Govind Narayan said;

 “I could not see this happening. I knew about the procedure of tweeting to the Ministry of Railways so I chose to complain there.”

DRM and Suresh Prabhu have strengthened people’s faith when it comes to take action against the corrupt and corruption.
