Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Thrown Out Of A Bollywood Film For Being A Pakistani

Pakistan seems to have been testing India’s patience through attacks like Pathankot and Uri. India successfully eliminated terror camps through the surgical strikes but the rest of the country is reacting in a different way. The politicians of India, especially MNS, demanded Pakistani artists to leave the country within 48 hours or be pushed out. The legendary singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan seems to have felt the absence of affection as well.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has recorded a song for an upcoming movie, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana starring Vivaan Shah and Akshara Hassan. The song might not see the light of the day, because the producer, T. P. Aggarwal felt it’s his moral duty to boycott the artist’s work.

“We didn’t want to do this because it’s a lovely song. Rahat is a great singer and he has sung it beautifully. However, my bone of contention is that neither he nor any of the other Pakistani artistes in India have condemned the attack.”

The producer believes he’d be better off promoting Indian talent instead of the ones from Pakistan. His director, Manish Harishankar, said,

“They (Pak artists) make good money here and also enjoy a lot of fame. I know they speak well of us but in a situation like this, it’s sad that they haven’t come out in support.”

Pakistani actors not condemning the attacks have upset the Indian artists and convinced them into taking such steps.
