There Is A Rabbit Island In Japan And They Welcome Everyone With A Fluffy HUG!

Japan is a fascinating place. The island nation that has wowed the world with their exemplary technological advancements and a very high human development index, is also very well connected to mother nature. We recently took you on a tour of Japan’s fox village and now from the land of cherry blossoms, we bring you the ‘Rabbit Island’.

Located in the Inland Sea of Japan, in the city of Takehara, the Ōkunoshima island is home to thousands of cute and fuffy bunnies.

Tourists visiting the island feel very welcomed as the cottontails love humans very much. They hop on their laps readily and let them pet, cuddle and feed them.

Have a look at this guy having the time of his life with the little friendly bunch.

The Rabbit island is only a ferry ride away from Tadanoumi and Ōmishima in mainland Japan and bunnies come hopping towards the tourists as soon as they deboard. Just look at these three cuties.
