Virat Gets Out At 5 Runs And Anushka Gets Blamed Yet Again. What Is Wrong With People?

In India, cricket is not just a game, it’s a religion. People go out of their way to defend their favourite cricketers but, the same fans do not hesitate to become malicious when the players don’t/can’t do well. Remember the time Indian spectators threw bottles on the field? Or the time they burnt effigies of players of the Indian cricket team because they didn’t do well?

Yes, the hypocrisy of the “worshippers of cricket” is pretty apparent and this time, their target is Virushka. As you may be well aware, people took out their anger on Anushka after the team lost the 2015 World Cup semifinal, saying that she’s a distraction for the Indian Skipper.

Unfortunately, it has happened yet again. After Virushka tied the knot last year, Anushka accompanied hubby Virat to South Africa for the test match against the home team. However, in his first test, Virat could not score well and got out on just 5 runs.

Despite Virat giving his all to defend Anushka from the trolls, back in 2016, the people just don’t know how to respect someone’s private life.

Angry Tweeple took to the micro-blogging site to condemn Anushka for being a “distraction” in the match with some even saying that Kohli wasn’t out of his ‘Honeymoon hangover’ yet.

10. This is not okay!

11. You should be ashamed!

Fortunately, there were some sensible people who called out the people who did not shy away from putting their hypocrisy on display. And, we are thankful for them!

6. Please understand FFS.

7. We beg of you!

Being disappointed in a team’s or a player’s  performance is a different thing but blaming somebody’s loved ones for the things they could not accomplish is disturbing on another level. We hope Indian cricket fans stop trolling Anushka for Virat’s performance on the field because she has nothing to do with it. And for the last time, It is NOT okay.
