Gang Rape Accused Mock The System By Posting Updates & Pictures On Facebook From Jail

Nasir Khan, Ruman Khan and Sumit Bajaj, are three names that have been in headlines for being the three accused in Park Street gang rape case in 2012.

They were recently in news not for their sentencing or for their tough prison life, but for using Facebook from their prison cells and updating their statuses and profile pictures. Prison laws do not include smartphones and sim cards in the list of things strictly prohibited, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that these three have been active on Facebook without the authorities putting a stop to it.

One of the accused, Ruman has been most active on Facebook, with many pictures of his body that seem to have been clicked inside a prison cell.

Nasir had updated his profile picture in December of 2014, and Sumit had wished ‘Happy Republic Day’ to his friends on Facebook in 2015.

Sumit even has a picture of him sitting next to the prison bars.

After the news was reported by DNA, jail authorities were quick to act on it and seize their smartphones again. Turns out this wasn’t the first time they have been caught using cell phones in prison. In 2014, the prison authorities had carried out a raid and seized phones from the possession of these three undertrials. The department then, shifted these inmates to another jail as a punishment. But, clearly the punishment turned out to be futile.

These men are rape accused & the way they mock the system is a shame in itself.
