This Odissi Cover Of ‘Shape Of You’ Is Graceful, Vibrant And Will Surely Make You Groove!

There is no doubt about the fact that the internet is in love with Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’. Actually going by every musical chart there is, love, in this case, is an understatement. But whatever it is, it has people in a trance, pushing them to shake a limb/leg on the dance floor. Now, tracing a pattern, the song has actually given us beautiful covers to remember.

Remember, the IIT students who took the lead? Or the dancing duo of girls who went viral a couple of days ago? Following suit, Detour Odisha has come up with another mesmerising cover and mesmerising is another understatement. Choreographed with the grace and nuances of Odissi, Odisha’s traditional dance form (bet Biswa didn’t tell you that), this version is my personal favourite! The video also packs a visual delight of colours and hues and landscapes that speaks high of heritage. Wouldn’t wanna miss that, would ya?

P.S- The chimes of the ghungroos elated the classical in me!
