Out of so many ways to save money, the Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways, Nitin Gadkari ‘marked his territory’ by switching to cheaper manure and peeing on his plants in his Delhi bungalow.
He revealed in an event in Nagpur on Sunday that he has been collecting his urine in a 50 litre can as it has urea and nitrogen compounds which are good for the plants and help them to grow bigger and better.
Although, he was coy at first about disclosing the secret to his lush green (Cha-Ching) gardens, he advised everyone to keep a handy 50 litre can to store urine. “I collected urine in a 50 litre can,” Gadkari said in Marathi in an ABP Majha video. “I called the gardener and instructed him to water some plants with it. There was such a big difference — it grew one and a half times bigger than the other plants,” he said.
After all personal boundaries were in shambles, he also disclosed that almost an acre of farm land in his bungalow’s compound is always ‘hara bhara’ because of this home made (and self made) manure.
