Home is supposed to a haven where one feels safe and secure from the bad things and the predators of the world. But what if the danger lies at home and predator resides there? Where does one go, then? And, if it is a preadolescent child, what does s/he do?
In a shocking incident that came to light, a 9-year-old was caught researching pornography on her school’s iPad in order to find out ‘what her dad does to her at night’. Following which, it was revealed that she’s been a victim of child sex abuse for over a year.
The teachers at Elk Elementary School contacted child services, immediately. The girl’s father, Anthony Garray, was arrested on Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas.
The girl, at school, was searching the web because she wanted to know what her dad does to her every night and ended up researching pornography. It was a school-issued iPad and when the teacher asked why was she looking at it, she said he does to her and her sister,
“All the time at night and never lets her sleep.”
When the Child Services interviewed the girl, it was learnt that the father has been sexually abusing her since she was eight years old.
The man has been booked for child sex abuse and is in Bexar County Jail, right now. The investigator later discovered that Garray had a history of sexual abuse and had previously been investigated by CPS for sexual abuse of two relatives.
Though his bond has been set at $75,000, we hope no one bails this vicious man out.
