Talent is a trait which has been debated for over centuries. Some say it’s inbred. Some say talent can be acquired if you have the drive for it. Regardless of the origin of talent, it has to be polished, nurtured. Time has to be dedicated to perfect your art. And if you have the passion, you can drive your talent through and through.

But is that the end of the story? Not really. You need the exposure and the platform. The struggle is real, my friend, and this guy has lived through it all.

Meet Aseem Trivedi. He had the drive and the passion for music, and the talent as well.

Aseem always knew from a young age that he wanted to get into music, and his high school music teacher egged him on for the same.

 

He hails from the city of Kanpur, where he had also formed a band.

Studying in Wilson College, Mumbai, Aseem was new to the city, but he got his break when he entered the Cover Singer Competition for MTV presents NESCAFÉ LABS.

 

He always had the dream to make it big in music, and nothing got in his way.

 

He got the exposure he needed through MTV presents NESCAFÉ LABS and under the mentorship of none other than Papon.

He was selected among the top 25 from 6,000 candidates. And he ultimately went on to win the Cover Singer Competition.

 

Like Aseem, MTV presents NESCAFÉ LABS aims to provide a platform for many an aspiring artist and to help them get that exposure which is needed as the final step for the realisation of their dream.
