BJP MP Says “Taj Mahal Is A Hindu Temple, Captured By Shah Jahan” *Slow Claps*

Taj Mahal, since the time it was included in the world’s list of wonders, has never been in the news more than it is now. Missing my point? Let me elucidate it better.

After being removed from the Uttar Pradesh’s tourism booklet and being branded as a ‘blot on Indian culture’ by BJP MP Sangeet Som, another BJP MP has come out in the open only to claim that we have got our history wrong. Why you ask?

Because according to BJP MP Vinay Katiyar, Taj Mahal was originally a Shiva temple which was later captured by Mughal ruler, Shah Jahan.

It is safe to say that the comments come at a time when the supposed eternal emblem of love is mired down in controversies.

Not just that. The politician from Kanpur also seemed to be in possession of details that are shocking, to say the least.

While UP CM Yogi Adityanath had condemned MP Sangeet Som’s comment, calling Taj Mahal an integral part of India’s heritage, wonder what arsenal will he pick to diffuse this ticking bomb. Only time will tell.
