Moroccan Backpacker Captures The Essence Of India In An 11-Minute Kickass Video

Since the last couple of years, travelling and travellers have gained an insane amount of social media appeal. Every time you open any of your social media accounts, your newsfeed will have at least two of your friends out on a vacay out of the city/country. While most of us want to travel to other countries, we forget how beautiful our own land is.

In December 2016, a Moroccan man, named Younes Mchiche, took a one-way flight ticket bound for India. In January 2018, he posted a video on his YouTube channel called ‘Younes Mchiche – Moroccan Backpacker’.

The video documented his year-long travel escapades all over the country, exploring the culture, living with the people and enjoying the scenic beauty. It showcased the essence of India in it’s truest form.

From Delhi to Mumbai, from Himachal to Rajasthan, from Ladakh to Nepal, he visited every place, hitchhiking his way through the country, relishing the Indian delicacies and absorbing the beauty of nature. He also indulged in adventures like trekking, camping and sky-diving.

The 11-minute video is giving me all sorts of travel goals for India before I set out to explore the rest of the world. It’s true, we don’t realize how beautiful the things we have are until we see it from someone else’s point of view.
