14 Reasons Why Millennials Always Find A Way Out

I was born in 1993 and there is a reason why our generation is called the most stunning generation of all time. We have seen a millennium getting over, and another one starting. But, one other thing evolved with the technology and internet – our approach!

Millennials have redefined ways of looking at things and executing them. And there is one more thing about this generation which makes it stand out, and that is how it always finds a way out. Here are some points to prove that statement.

1. We were the first to see the digital age descend

From cable TV to internet, the digital age was born and raised in front of our eyes. We have seen how things survived without them, and we know how much better it can get with them.

2. We deeply influence the market & economy

Millennials make up 21% of the consumer discretionary purchases. The technology or the trend we prefer can saw the market back and forth.

3. We own the virtual as well as the real world

We don’t survive in social media, but we surely own it. We have our grasp on both virtual and real world as we have lived both. You don’t have a drift of what it can do, but believe us, you don’t want know.

4. We don’t believe in ‘suit & tie’ culture

We won’t go to work in suits and ties when we’re more productive in sneakers and graphic tees.

5. Just the brand is not enough. We thrive for user experience

We don’t mind paying a bit more money for the user satisfaction we get out of a certain product. Companies can’t fool us with their brand value if they are not delivering efficient services. It has also given new startups a big leeway, as we try everything that gives us the result. Bye bye monopoly!

6. Marriage is not our ultimate goal

We do not work hard to get married and settle down ultimately. Our life doesn’t revolve around that idea, because we have much bigger goals and our passion doesn’t die down past the bands of matrimony.

7. We’d give up all our money to travel

75% of the millennials want to travel abroad, out of which 69% crave adventure. Travelling is the best things you can do to spend the precious years of your life. We all have to die someday, and we want to see the world before we do. We will give up everything to do so.

8. Our job is not restricted by any time or place

We can work anywhere and anytime with our utmost efficiency. So, if you think we will whine about uncomfortable furniture and unusual work hours, you’re wrong!

9. We don’t take the first answer given to us

We are strong and opinionated, so we won’t agree to anything told to us or shown to us on screen. We ask questions, and don’t accept anything served on platter.

10. We are not hesitant to ask for what we want

We are not hesitant or shy, and we know what we want. So, instead of beating around the bush, we directly go for the target. So, be it a salary raise or a disagreement with the current idea, we say it out loud.

11. We are not afraid to quit

We don’t need the world, the world need us. If the work environment is not productive and we are denied what we deserve, then there are many other places which have better things to offer.

12. We do not disrespect the conventions. We challenge them

We have grown up with those conventions and traditions and we know that they hold a certain value for generations above us. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t question the irrelevant and illogical ways which are being carried forward.

13. We play by our own rules

When we refused to sit in cubicles, they call us spoiled. When we refuse to follow their plans, they call us stubborn. When we refuse to follow conventions, they call us entitled. But slowly the world is realizing that we are not spoiled, stubborn or entitled; just refuse to accept things as they’re given to us.

14. In short our attitude is, “I like your soch, but love my approach.”

The ‘ME Generation’ is evolving with overflowing talent and passion, ready to take the world on its stride with their new approach. Here’s to those who are moving forward, bending the rules and marching towards a brighter future.

It’s time to #BendTheRules
