Mike Shinoda Just Shared Chester Bennington’s 1st Photo With The Band And Fans Are In Tears

Last Friday, the world woke up to a devastating news that Linkin Park’s former frontman, Chester Bennington had left us. He was found hanging dead in his LA home and the world mourned his death.

Last night, the band posted an emotional statement on their Facebook page and a million hearts broke again.

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda took to Instagram and posted a heart breaking tribute to the Late Chester Bennington. He shared what was probably the first picture of the band together.

The caption reads-

1997 or 1998…I think this was the first photo we ever took together. We had just told Chester that we wanted him to join the band. He said he was ready to move out from Arizona to L.A. We went to a pizza place near UCLA to hang out and talk about what to do next. The band was called Xero at the time, and we probably had less than a half a dozen songs. No flame tattoos yet, no red hair yet, most of us were still in college.

Chester Bennington was such an integral part of all our lives. His music was the silent friend who got us through the most difficult phase of our lives. We still cannot believe that Chester is no more!

His death will take a lot of time to sink in!
