8-Year-Old Who Played Sachin In The Movie Is As Cute And Cuddly In Real Life As On-Screen

‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ has hit the screens and India has fallen in love with the legendary cricketer again, a noble human and the emotion that is, Sachin Tendulkar.

While the movie has the entire country chanting, Sachin…Sachin…Sachin…there’s one little guy who is getting loads of love and applause.

Meet this gullible kid, Mikail Gandhi! The 8-year-old who got a chance to play Sachin Tendulkar on-screen. Isn’t he super adorable?

But this is not Mikail’s first tryst with acting. He has acted in various ad films and is well known for his exuberant role in the 2016 Telugu film ‘Supreme’!

Mikail’s journey to play Sachin was not easy. In an interview with Mid-day, Mikail’s parents said that there were 300 kids who auditioned for the role.

“We got a call from a casting agent who didn’t inform us anything about the film he was supposed to audition for. Almost 300 kids had auditioned for the role.”

 

Talking about Sachin, the little kid exclaimed that like every kid in India, he idolises Sachin. In fact, Mikail wants to be a cricketer when he grows up. Gushing about his picture with Sachin, he also said –

“I love cricket and Sachin. I also like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. I was able to click a picture with him. He is very nice.”

 

Mikail loves going to school. He attends Maneckji Cooper School, Juhu Mumbai and wants to pursue studies and acting together.

“My school allows me to go for shoots, which is really nice. I love studying geography.”

 

Talking about his big Bollywood debut in ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ he innocently says –

“When I saw myself on the big screen, it was the happiest day of my life so far.”

 

No wonder this kid was the chosen one, the resemblance is uncanny! And also, just look at that adorable, adorable face.

It’s almost impossible to look at all those pictures and resist the urge to pull Mik’s cheeks through the screen.

How can someone be so adorable?

Call me whatever you want, but I can just eat this kid up!
