Any Michael Phelps fans here? I am assuming, that’s a yes! So, ladies, gentlemen and them, we have a really ‘shark’ing piece of news for you!
The 23-time Olympian is set to take on a race on the TV sets near you. Now, you might say that it keeps happening. Well, this one’s different. Because it is the first time the great champion is taking on a shark!
The man with 39 world records and 23 Olympic medals, Michael Phelps is all set to dive into the shark world, as he’s going to take a race against one of the fastest predators on the planet, on Shark Week.
A release by the channel spilled the details, and the episode — Phelps Vs. Shark: Great Gold Vs Great White — is going to air on July 23.
“They are one of the fastest and most efficient predators on the planet: Sharks. He is our greatest champion to ever get in the water: Michael Phelps. 39 world records. 23 Olympic golds. But he has one competition left to win. An event so monumental no one has ever attempted it before. The world’s most decorated athlete takes on the ocean’s most efficient predator: Phelps V Shark – the race is on!”
Umm, remember Jaws? The Steven Spielberg movie that didn’t leave our jaws in place? Yeah, that scary one. We just hope the shark plays by the rules (only if they know any). BTW, do they have to swim in the same pool or the wide ocean? And, what are the rules anyway?
We just don’t want to see anything bad happen to our favourite swimmer. And, it would be nicer if the shark racing against Phelps is like Bruce from Finding Nemo.
