He is the highest paid CEO in the FMCG sector and his salary was higher than Adi Godrej and Vivek Gambhir of Godrej Consumer, Sanjiv Mehta of Hindustan Unilever and ITC’s YC Deveshwar. No kidding!

But he works equally hard, too. He takes daily rounds of his factories, deals with marketers himself and doesn’t even take Sundays off. And, is extremely motivated toward his work.

“My motivation to work is being sincere in product quality sold at affordable prices. And nearly 90% of my salary goes to charity in my personal capacity.”

In 1919, his father Chuni Lal started as a small shop in Sialkot, Pakistan. After partition, it was moved to Karol Bagh, Delhi. Gulatiji joined MDH, 60 years ago, and has ever since then established a business empire of over Rs 1500 crores – masala company, around 20 schools, a hospital, 15 factories and offices overseas.

Woah! Dadaji rocks! ?
