But Dr. Pradip Sarmah from Assam has definitely given it a deep thought. He founded Rickshaw Bank, an NGO that provides micro-finance to Indian rickshaw drivers. Moreover, the idea that the rickshaw pullers can be owners of their own vehicle is simply ingenious.

In a country of about 8 million underprivileged rickshaw pullers, the story of this man’s grit and determination deserves to be heard.
