Lily Admits That The Finale Of HIMYM Was A ‘Slap In The Face’ And Now I Can Die In Peace!

It’s been 3 years since How I Met Your Mother’s season finale aired, but to be honest, it did not leave us all that satisfied now, did it?

To those, who are not caught up here is what happened. Robin marries Barney only to divorce him after 3 years and Ted and Robin end up together in the finale after the mother dies. No kidding.

Now to anyone, it might sound a little weird because honestly, IT Was INSANE. Years ago, the HIMYM finale left us restless and disappointed after a wonderful series! Alyson Hannigan aka Lily, finally spoke about the finale and said that she wasn’t very happy with the ending. She said –

“I didn’t think Barney should have ever gotten married. I liked Barney and Robin. But in my heart, I always wanted her with Ted.

I just feel Barney and Robin shouldn’t have gotten married.”

 

Alyson also said that there were a lot of important scenes that were cut from the series. And that is exactly why the viewers did not get time to get over the tragic death of the mother.

 

And then Alyson, did not sugar coat it and just said what we ALL had felt all this while.

“They needed that time to process that information, instead of having it slap them in the face.”

Seriously, someone finally acknowledged the elephant in the room that has been there since 2014. Thank you, Alyson. I can die in peace now.
