One of my friends once told me on the phone that he could hear voices in my background. He asked me to move to a quiet place so that we could talk. It freaked me out because I was alone in my hostel room and there was barely anyone left on that hostel floor since everyone had gone home for holidays.
I later found out that he was just pranking me but it was pretty effective since I had just seen ‘The Others‘ and was in that phase.
