There is no being on earth who is not fond of Rajesh Koothrappali from the sitcom, ‘The Big Bang Theory’. Talking of Rajesh Koothrappali, one just cannot afford to miss out the face behind the face of the fictional character- Kunal Nayyar.
While I was pretty sure his comic timing couldn’t get any better, Kunal recently paid Ellen a visit and I have never been so glad to be wrong. Nothing short of a sitcom in itself, the rendezvous was full of revelations (for Ellen) and boy, was it fun!
It all began when Ellen asked Kunal about his waving habits asking if he waves a hand at everybody. To which he said,
“I like waving at the tour carts because all those people have come from so far away and I want to be friendly.”
In fact, he also narrated a pretty hilarious instance and that was where the ball started rolling.
“Eating a peanut butter, jelly sandwich. Don’t spook him.”
While we are still at sandwich, he actually takes a bite of the fake sandwich on the table and his ‘commitment to food’ (even fake) is unreal.
But the highlight about the entire chat was when Kunal sat down to explain about Diwali to Ellen. Or rather, the types of Diwali! He went on to the specifics of how people celebrate.
“Just alcohol and food.”
And while you may argue the credibility of the above-mentioned sentence, you have to give him for the general idea of merry-making.
