Air India Flight Offloaded Its 3 Passengers To Accommodate Union Minister Kiren Rijiju

An Air India Flight flying from Leh to New Delhi was delayed for about an hour for Union Minister Kiren Rijiju as he arrived late. It was also reported that three passengers including a child, were allegedly offloaded in order to accommodate Kiren Rijiju and his PA.

The aircraft’s doors were shut and the plane was about to take off but the plane did not depart as Rijiju and his PA were suppose to be on board. A source said, “When he arrived, three passengers were de-boarded to accommodate the minister and his PA.”

Although Rijiju had something else to say. According to him, he reported on time and the flight was pre-poned without any notice due to technical reasons. He said, “The departure was at 1140 hrs…I don’t know…Somehow there was a rescheduling issue…It was not a delay..It was a communication gap.” He was returning to Delhi after taking part the “Sindhu Darshan” festival on June 24 along with Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh in an Air India flight which was “suddenly rescheduled.”

According to Rijiju, he was suppose to return from Leh in a helicopter but that could not be arranged due to bad weather. Hence, Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister asked him to accompany him in the Air India flight which was supposed to depart at 11.40 AM. When he reached the airport at 10:20 AM, he found the doors of the aircraft closed.

When asked about the offloading of passengers, Rijiju said that he wasn’t aware of any such thing and it is completely wrong and unacceptable if that happened.
