Words have never been enough for millions of people residing in this country. There’s one and only one way to teach people and that is for the leader to lead by example. And if not, it won’t be a second before the public pounces on them to point out their mistakes.
In a recent incident, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Kiran Bedi, has just written off by Twitter for a mistake.
Kiran Bedi was patrolling at night in an ‘incognito’ avatar in the streets of Puducherry to see how police are functioning and how safe is the city at ungodly hours.

She observed that the city was safe and peaceful. She took to Twitter to say this and also posted a video of her patrol.
Just back from a night round.
Went pillion riding on a scooter camouflaged.
Felt Pondicherry safe for women, even at night. Shall repeat..— Kiran Bedi (@thekiranbedi) August 18, 2017

As Kiran Bedi took the time and energy to take care of her people, she was lauded on Twitter by many followers.
1. People are praising her.

But Twitterati also didn’t fail to observe that Kiran Bedi was wearing no helmet. Nor was the rider of the scooty. As Bedi just made helmets compulsory in the territory, people called her out for not following what she’s preaching.
1. There it goes.
On a lighter note you should have been booked for riding without helmet.

4. They’ve found a new excuse.

अगली बार जब ट्रैफिक वाले मुझे बिना हेलमेट के पकड़ेंगे तो मैं ये ही बोलूंगा “Not wearing helmet is a Careful Choice ” ????

7. Observations like these are Twitter’s forte!
Isn’t it funny ma’am? ..while riding bicycle you are using helmet and no helmet on bike!!

Kiran Bedi replied to all the allegations and spoke about how not wearing a helmet was a conscious choice.
Not wearing helmet was a careful choice. Both wanted to appear vulnerable & wanted to see how we women driving a scooty at nite r looked at https://t.co/SkGfvQlBR6

Well, if a grammar mistake can backfire for people on Twitter (read: Varun Dhawan), then the damage a helmet can do to you is unreal.
