10-Year-Old Donates ₹ 1,000 To PM Modi For Cleaning Ganga And Gets A Reply

“To a child, reality seems much more fabulous than fantasy.” – R.K Laxman

Kids are the most genuine, unspoiled, and innocent versions of us. They are incredible! They are selfless and never think twice before helping someone in need.

In a heartwarming incident, a 10-year-old kid from Chennai sent a sum of Rs. 1,000, that he won in a competition to PM Modi. G Shashank from Nadippakkm, Chennai also wrote a letter to Mr. Modi requesting him to use the money to clean river Ganga.

Shashank mentions in his letter that ‘Ganga is a religious river.’ He also writes that we all should not use plastic and polythene bags that harm the environment. He also says that he likes doing ‘natural work’ and that is the reason he is sending the money. Shashank also invites Mr. Modi to his house.

The innocent kid says that it’s our responsibility to ‘maintain’ the river Ganga and he wants to make a heartfelt contribution for the same. Very soon, he received a reply from PK Bali, Under Secretary, from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The letter said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘appreciates his thoughtful gesture and convey his gratitude.’

Tarun Shukla, who knows the boy posted the information about the kid on Twitter. Shashank who is only 10-years-old today is setting examples for the entire country to follow.

If this little kid could selflessly donate money that he earned at a competition, there is much more that we all can do.

Let’s all take a step forward and do some good.
