In the Indian film industry, seldom do friendships weather the test of time. However, one friendship that has only gotten stronger over the years is one between Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. The latter acted in the debut film by the former and the duo has produced numerous blockbusters ever since.
Karan Johar recently got quite candid about his long-standing friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, who will also be doing a cameo in his latest film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘.
“He and I have that natural synergy and a spark. He knew what I wanted and I know what he would give. It was a give and take that was so beautiful. It was so organic.”
Shah Rukh will be working with Karan after 7 years. However, the two friends seemed to have gotten together as if that gap never existed.
Karan Johar also impressed on the point that there should be good chemistry between an actor and the director in order for the film to turn out well.
“The chemistry between actors and directors is important as actors play the part that directors give. And my chemistry with all my actors is good. I don’t care about the internal chemistry. If I am not connecting with my actors then they won’t be able to create that magic on screen.”
It’s obvious that Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan seem to share this special chemistry. If what Karan says is true, his latest movie with SRK is bound to be a resounding success!
