The Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan spat was controversy’s favourite child for a long time (maybe, longer than it should have been?). People around the country were waiting with bated breath for remarks from either party, not to mention the Twitter rants from Kangana’s sister Rangoli.
While Hrithik maintained a stoic silence on the whole matter except for a tell-all interview with Republic TV, where he refused to even acknowledge Kangana by name, she was not one to keep quiet. She fed the gossip mongers her share of the story without inhibitions and was lauded for it.
As it turns out, she is at it again. At a recent interview with Bombay Times, Kangana was asked whether her film ‘Simran’ was overshadowed by the controversies surrounding her personal life.
Kangana answered the questioned in true Kangana-like fashion and said,
“There is only so much that you can control in life. When there are so many controversies around, you will be asked about them.
Also, it gives me an opportunity to come clean on many issues and answer all the questions and doubts that people might have about me. I am not the kind of person who plans and picks one day to come clean and talk about everything.”
Whoa! Not to read too much into it or anything but it sure seemed like that was a not-so-subtle dig at Hrithik’s tell-all interview with Republic.
She also added that she looks at every interview as an opportunity to come closer to her audience. She also believes that she is answerable to them. She condemned people who don’t address the doubts of their audience and said,
“I don’t do that. I’d rather not be in that space. Sometimes, I am asked questions that are very intimidating, but I make sure that I answer them. It makes me feel much closer to my viewers.”
Talking about questions which scare her, Kangana further went on to elaborate that she does not condone keeping secrets, no matter how intimidating the question might be.
“Whatever you keep as a secret has a life of its own, it starts to grow like a tree and takes over your existence.”
She also believes that letting secrets brew inside a person is like letting a demon brew inside them. It’ll eventually eat you up.
She further goes on to say that whenever she feels someone asking an uncomfortable situation and asked to mention names, she prefers to answer it as it feels like detox.
“Ten years ago, when I would approach people, they would turn away. Now, they come across and give me a hug. I like the environment that I have created for myself.”
Not so long ago, she also recited a poem at a TV show when she was asked about being in love. The poem which was allegedly written while she was in love went something like this,
“Ishq ki aankhon mein khuda dekha hai humne, na woh roshni thi na andhera, na jaane kaunsa manzar dekha hai humne.”
While we love Kangana for her bold avatar and unapologetic nature, do you think that her statements might have been a bit of a dig at Hrithik?
