Name me one place where a woman can be hundred percent safe. From jam-packed markets to well-secured homes, there’s isn’t a single place that can be deemed safe for women.
And this situation is the same for every girl in the world, not only the common folks but also celebrities are not safe either.
In a terrifying incident, famous Bengali actress, Kanchana Moitra was attacked and asked to do 40 squats holding her ears, by two drunk men in Kolkata.
It all started when Kanchana was returning after her shoot and her car stopped because something hit the tyre. She asked her driver to get out and enquire, completely unaware of the horror that was waiting next.
Recalling the dreadful event, here is what she said to The Telegraph,
“I asked my driver to enquire what it was… and both of us rolled down the windowpanes, two youths appeared and one of them accused the driver of almost mowing him down. They were drunk.”
The fight soon turned dangerous, as the drunk men snatched the key away from the car and started abusing Kanchana and her driver. Petrified by the horror, she asked them to leave…but they didn’t.
But they did not stop. What they asked her to do next will simply give you goosebumps,
Fortunately, after 20 minutes of this sheer torture, she was finally saved by the police who were patrolling in the area. The drunken men who have been identified as in their 20s did try to outsmart the police but they are now under police custody.
Tell me now, if I was wrong, where on earth is the woman safe?
