Across many of the stories reported in newspapers nowadays, there is this common thread – a communal discord, that reflect the wave of growing intolerance in India. Lately, there has been a lot of hue and cry over petty things and consequently, celebrities and many people alike have bore the brunt.

And while we are at it, does this growing religious discord also tells us to make animals and flowers a religion symbol – cows for Hindus, goats for Muslims; green color for Muslims, red/orange color for Hindus?

Javed Jaffery, a noted comedian, and actor echoes the same sentiment, which perhaps led him to pen a beautiful yet thought-provoking poem which brings forward the bare faced truths, that’ll leave you thinking. He gave this lecture on the occasion of Hussain Day, in Bangalore.

Makes complete sense, doesn’t it?
