It is one thing to lose your kid to death, it is another thing to witness while it happens.
The day’s drudgery has just begun but it is already here with a grim tale to tell. One where the incident at hand is so unfortunate that you struggle to put your words across.
A student in Jaipur, identified as Aditi Sanghi, fell off the roof of her college and died during a zip-lining class in the college premises. Unfortunately, the class was being conducted by her father, Sunil Sanghi.
According to reports, the second-year student lost her balance at the edge of the terrace during a mountaineering and zip-lining demonstration organised at Jaipur’s IIS University.
After the mishap, Aditi was rushed to the nearby Metro Mas hospital, but she died during treatment.
Reports also suggest that Aditi had finished her demonstration and so was not in a harness when she slipped from the terrace of the university building to her death. Mukesh Chaudhary, the investing officer said,
“It is a six-storey building and she fell from the top. Her father said she had finished her round and was standing there watching when she suddenly fell.”
It does not appear to be a case of suicide.”
Aditi was a trainer-cum-demonstrator and her father, Sunil, is a training instructor who has previously given several such demonstrations and classes.
In a statement, the IIS University has expressed grief saying Aditi’s death was unfortunate and it should not be blamed on anyone. Dr Rakhi Gupta, the registrar of the IIS University said,
Imagine the plight of the father. The same man who probably will have to go through a facade of blame game before he can peacefully mourn his daughter.
