Google Maps Keep A Track Of Your Every Move. Want To See It? Here You Go.

Technology is evolving everyday as we speak of it, and soon any and every form of manual identification will not be required by people. Your every move will be tracked and noted. Oh, wait. That part is already happening.

Google Maps literally keeps track of your “every move”.  When you click the link to this website here, you are asked to login with the same email id on your phone. Once you do that all the places that you have been in the past 1 day up to 30 days can be seen.

Why this is intriguing you ask?

Well for one, when you look for directions on your phone, you turn your GPS settings on, and only after that, is Google Maps able to track your location and give your directions for your destination.

While some might label it as “intrusion of privacy”, it actually helps Google recommend better location specific notifications, which is a ‘smart’ thing to do on a smartphone

If you feel you’ve no need of location specific smart notifications, there is a way you can disable these settings and be at peace… until Google Maps comes up with a better way to track you.

Unless you’re a secret agent or involved in an extra-marital affair, this feature shouldn’t bother you. Instead, I would recommend you drool over those red lines. (or spy on your boyfriend/girlfriend’s moves maybe) 😀

Thank you Google. Or maybe not?
