It’s not a novelty on social media to confuse people with same names or similar sounding words. I think everyone remembers the Snapchat-Snapdeal fiasco! It happened again recently between Anna Kendrick and Enrique’s girlfriend Anna Kournikova. Twitter and a leading portal started congratulating the Pitch Perfect star instead of the new mother.
Well, don’t worry Indian media and Twitter are not far behind.
This time it’s the war between the Ir(r)fans that has stirred the controversy. Irrfan Khan won the Filmfare best actor award for his outstanding performance in Hindi Medium.
However, little did the legendary actor know, that someone else would get the credit for his hard work!
The Indian pacer, Irfan Pathan got congratulated instead. In a Tweet by Femina, they wished the cricketer for his “well deserved” performance in Hindi Medium.
Irfan Pathan who has had his fair share of social media attention is for the first time not on the trolling end.
Being his sassy self, Pathan had a cheeky response to give to Femina. He hilariously replied to them thanking the magazine.
