When you don’t agree with something or are offended by something, you protest. You do something to get your voice heard. Some people fast, some take to the streets, some may even get violent. However, this guy in France did something totally bizarre!
In this video, uploaded by Aurum, a guy is seen smashing several iPhones with a metal ball at an Apple store in France. He claims he did it because “Apple refused to honour the EU requirement to provide warranty cover for two years after purchase”. According to an EU law, all goods in the region need to come with a two-year warranty by default. While Apple provides only a one-year warranty on its devices globally, it does comply with the two-year policy in applicable regions within the EU.
