Indian Army Makes Us Proud By Winning Gold At The World’s Most Grueling Patrol Exercise

The Indian Army makes us proud with their valor and awesomeness every day. The Cambrian Patrol Exercise proved to be another reason to be insanely thankful that we have our jawans to protect us.

The 2/8 Gorkha Rifles won gold at one of the toughest patrol exercises in the world, held at the Cambrian mountains in Wales by the British Army.

The Cambrian Patrol is an annual international military patrolling exercise regarded as one the most difficult tests modern soldiers can face.

The exercise consists of a 55-km course that snakes through the tough terrain. It is a mission and task-oriented exercise, which must be completed within 48 hours.

It is although, not a competition. The medals are given on the basis of the number of points the team receives after completing each event : Gold (75 percent), Silver (65-74 percent) and Bronze (55-64 percent), and the rest receive certificates.

We salute you soldiers. Jai Hind!
