IAS 2015 Topper Tina Dabi Is Marrying The Guy Who Came 2nd. Damn Their Kids Will Be Smart!

You might or might not believe in love at first sight, but 2015 IAS Topper Tina Dabi and her beau Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan sure do. And, theirs is a very Sarkari love story.

They met at the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) office on the day of their felicitation.

“We met in the morning and by evening Aamir was at my door. Uske liye pehli nazar mein pyaar ho gaya.”

He might’ve fallen in love with her at first but wooing her wasn’t an easy task at all. It took three whole months for Aamir’s charm to work on Tina.

 

But how can a love story be complete without a zalim duniya and some kuch toh log kahenge effect? Since she’s a Dalit and he’s a Muslim, some narrow-minded people are bound to rub that fact into their faces.

“There have been a lot of comments attributed to me falsely. Then there are comments that are anti-caste, targeting reservations, religion. It’s as if I have commited a crime by falling in love with someone who is not the same religion or caste as me.”

 

‘When the going gets tough, the tough gets going’ might not stand true for Tina and Aamir. They might get disturbed after reading negative things about them, but Tina thinks it is a small price to pay.

“Things do become offensive. I then wonder if I should be active on social media and confront such stuff. But then I tell myself that I don’t have to prove anything to anyone,” she said.

 

And, they are very happy together now. Their Facebook pictures stand testimonial to the fact.

 

They look so good together, don’t they? While wedding date isn’t decided, Tina hints that the engagement might happen soon.

She’s a freethinking, independent woman and it is her choice, her decision to choose whoever she wants to marry. And, everyone should respect her, their and every one’s CHOICE.

Love can happen anywhere…anytime, even in a sarkari office.
